Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Lives Here In Saskatoon
A warning, this story contains strong language. This week, we've been talking about PTSD. The reason? Because the military is now dealing with four recent deaths, suspected suicides. And the question is out there, are soldiers getting the help they need? Saskatoon Morning's Dan Kerslake produced a documentary in 2010. It was about a soldier, a local man named Leander, who was dealing with PTSD. With our focus on the problem this week, we thought it would be a good idea to re-play his story. Then, Dan followed up on the story and spoke with Leander's mother Agnes Helmink to find out how things turned out.
