This winter, many people in Saskatoon will visit the ER because they've hurt themselves shoveling snow. Often, those injuries involve the lower back. But could it all be because they're not using the right snow shovel? Ryan Lewinson is a Ph.D student in biomedical engineering at the University of Calgary. He recently published an article in the journal Applied Ergonomics on that very subject. We reached him in Calgary.

Saskatoon Morning Floyd Favel's New Film Will Be Entirely In Cree Dec 16, 2013 | 6:57A filmmaker from Poundmaker First Nation is about to make movie history. Floyd Favel is an author, filmmaker and playwright from the North Battleford area. He's teamed up with one of the world's best independent filmmakers for a new movie to be made right here in Saskatchewan. The movie, to be called "Sweet Cherry Wine," will be entirely in Cree. Favel just received a major grant for $600,000 from the Canada Media Fund to produce the film. He joined Leisha Grebinski on Saskatoon Morning.
