Saskatoon Morning The 50th Anniversary Of The First Kidney Transplant In Saskatchewan Dec 10, 2013 | 7:44Fifty years ago this week a team of doctors in Saskatoon performed Canada's second kidney transplant, between people who were not identical twins.
The first had taken place a few months earlier in Montreal.
Dr. Richard Baltzan joined the Saskatoon transplantation team shortly after. He spoke with Saskatoon Morning's Leisha Grebinski.

Bishop Donald Bolen is the head of Saskatoon's Roman Catholic Diocese, George Williamson teaches philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan and is with the Centre for Inquiry Saskatchewan. Lori Petruskevitch is a member of the city's Buddhist community. They're three of the speakers taking part in the panel discussion, but first the joined host Leisha Grebinski in studio YXE.
