State of the fisheries in the Baie des Chaleurs

The Baie des Chaleurs has lost some big industries over the last decade, but there's reason to think the tide is turning. Today, as we continue our series on the area's economy, we'll look at the prospects in the fishery. The CBC's Glenn Wanamaker was in the region earlier this year, and spoke to a few different people about the state of the industry. We hear from Jeffrey Vautier, board member of the professional fishermen's association for le Sud-de-la-Gaspésie, Shigawake and Gino Lebrasseur, general manager of Unipêche MDM plant who also serves as Mayor of Paspebiac.
