The effectiveness of a wireless code
Canada's telecommunications regulator, the CTRC, has kicked off hearings this week to create a set of national standards for cell phone providers in this country. It's called the wireless code. The code would include guidelines on cellphone contracts, unlocking cellphones, and service fees. But our next guest is skeptical a code will help consumers. Eamon Hoey is a management consultant who works in several industries including telecoms. He joined's us from Toronto this morning.
