Jobie Epoo, Inuit hunter, on how killer whales could have been saved
Another local who was up close with the whales is Jobie Epoo, an Inuit hunter. He had been ready to take measures to try to keep the whales alive before he discovered they managed to move on. Epoo spoke with the CBC's Catou MacKinnon who asked him to describe how he felt when he learned the whales had escaped.
