Domestic Animal Policy
Stray cats running wild. Dogs attacking livestock. Neglected pets being left in the cold, without shelter or food. These are all situations we hear about from time to time in this province. And animal protection groups say something must be done. One step toward change came last week, with the release of a new study on domestic animal policy in Newfoundland and Labrador. Taking Care of Pets was prepared by sociologists at Memorial University and focussed on the well-being of domestic animals.
