WAM Nov 24-25 Dr. Kat Galloway
Dr. Kate Galloway has done something no other researcher has done before. She's won a prestigious award that has never before been awarded to a music researcher. Galloway is the recipient of the 2012 Postdoctoral Prize from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. It's for her project examining the intersection of classicla muisc and environmental issues. Another first: it's the first time any MUN researcher has won this award. Galloway works at MUN's Research Centre for the STudy of Music, Media and Place. She stopped by our studio earlier in the week.
