37th Labrador Creative Arts Festival coverage continues
The 37th annual Labrador Creative Arts Festival is underway. And students from across Labrador are getting a chance to take workshops from visiting artists. Yesterday, a grade 9 class at Mealy Mountain Collegiate got to see how a make-over is done. Ashley Gesner is a hair and make-up artist who predominantly works in fashion. Her job has taken her all over the world to Paris, New York and L.A. And now, she's in Labrador. Labrador Morning's John Gaudi dropped by the workshop to speak with Ashley and some of the students. and... "Beauty Can Be a Beast". That's the title of an original play by the "Queen of Peace Middle School Drama Club". CBC's Byron Hamel dropped by a rehearsal to get the students' take on their new production.
