Defying the Ban - Innu to carry out Caribou Hunt
Labrador's Innu Nation rejects the provincial government's five year ban on harvesting the George River Herd and they will continue to hunt in Labrador. The Innu Nation Board of Directors has set some guidelines though; only 150 male caribou for Sheshatshiu and Natuashish, and no hunting is permitted between April and August. For more on this decision, Deputy Chief of the Innu Nation, Jeremy Andrew is in studio with Colleen Connors.
