The Dangers of Snow Tunnels
Just about any town in Newfoundland and Labrador could be considered a winter wonderland this week. Many people in the province take advantage and get out to enjoy their favourite winter activity. For young people that often means just playing in the front or back yard, digging a cave in a snowbank, or making tunnels through the snow. But often they build them without realizing the how dangerous the little caves can be. Labrador Morning's Mike Power heard about the discovery of a snow cave in Labrador City recently, and went to find out why they're so dangerous and what's being done to try and prevent a tragedy from happening.
