Salt on the NWR highway
Motorists in the Upper Lake Melville are using their windshield washer fluid quite a bit lately. A thin layer of salt has been coating vehicles. On January 17th, the provincial government put down a layer of salt on the provincial highway between Happy Valley Goose Bay and North West River. Now a facebook page in town is demanding answers, and fighting to keep salt off the roads. To explain why this is seen as a problem, we've reached Happy Valley Goose Bay resident Dominic Dickman.He's on the line with Tony What does the minister of transportation and works have to say about the use of salt on the highway between Happy Valley-Goose Bay and North West River?
