Examining the New Employment Insurance Rules

Stricter Employment Insurance rules came into effect in the new year. But many workers are no clearer about them now than they were back when the changes were announced. They're not sure what the new rules mean for them, or what exactly they have to do differently to receive benefits. The buzz is claimants will have to better document their job search, take jobs for lower salaries than previously and travel further to find work. But specific details are unclear. Lana Payne is President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour. And she's hearing from nervous workers.
