Why Wabush Airport Fire Service is Not Covered by Town

For almost two decades, firefighting services for the Wabush airport have been the responsibilty of the Wabush fire department. But with the increase in activity at the airport in the past couple of years, the town has been asking Transport Canada to change that. So Transport Canada will take back responsibility for fire-fighting services, and it is now talking with Labrador City about giving them the firefighting contract. So where does that leave the town of Wabush? Wabush Mayor Ron Barron joins us by telephone.
