Group Wants Canadians to Boycott Farmed Fish
The aquaculture industry is growing in many parts of this province, especially on the South Coast. Recent outbreaks of Infectious Salmon Anemia have fueled a debate about whether ocean-based farms should exist at all. Now, a new campaign encouraging Canadians to boycott salmon raised in feedlots has begun. Anissa Reed has managed an Atlantic salmon farm, and she is the coordinator of SalmonFeedlotBoycott.com.
