Municipal Planning

This week on the show we've been talking about the town of Gander's request for emergency money from the provincial government. Council wants 2-million dollars to pay for immediate water and sewer upgrades. It seems the town is outgrowing its infrastructure because it's approved so many new building lots in recent years. That raises a question about municipal planning and the role it should play in a growing community. We spoke with Ken O'Brien, the president of the Atlantic Planners Institute.
