Today marks the 27th anniversary of the Arrow Air crash. Around 6:50 on the morning of December 12, 1985, the Arrow Air DC-8 took off from Gander Airport. On board the plane, 256 Americans - most of them peacekeepers, on their way home for Christmas. But the flight lasted less than a minute before crashing near Gander Lake, creating the worst air disaster on Canadian soil. All on board were dead.
