Parole for hit-and-run drunk driver
A Labrador man is being granted day parole seven months into a four-year sentence for running down two people in Wabush while drunk. Shane Mercer later died from his injuries, and Lisa Penney was severely injured and is still in the hospital. People in Labrador West give reporter Lee Pitts their reaction to the news of the parole. Following that, defence lawyer Bob Simmonds, who previously served as vice-president of the John Howard Society, talks about the decision.
