Makkovik gets a community freezer
Like many Inuit communities in Northern Labrador, Makkovik now has a community freezer. Hunters from Makkovik will fill the freezer with local game. And then elders who can't hunt will be able to get their wild meat. The freezer was a long time coming, and AngajukKak Herb Jacque is hoping it will be full of game and berries very soon. To learn more, Labrador Morning's Colleen Connors reached Herb Jacque at the Inuit Community Office in Makkovik.
