From Labrador to the Arctic...and back again
The captain and crew of a Nunavut research ship are happy to be heading home. In July, the Nuliajuk stopped in Labrador to map the bottom of Lake Mellville. Researchers want to understand how the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric project will impact the basin downstream. The Nuliajuk traveled up to the Arctic for the summer. Last week, it returned to Lake Mellville to continue working for several days. Labrador Morning's John Gaudi dropped by the ship to speak with captain and crew about their adventures along the way.
