Submarine Story from Them Days

Excitement is building about a possible Nazi submarine lying at the bottom of the Churchill River. Crews are searching for it using sonar -- and later today, we should know what they've found.. To get you in the spirit, we're diving into a back-issue of Them Days Magazine. Stephen Hamilton wrote about life in Labrador during the contruction of the military air base. He also tells the story of an eye-witness to a Nazi submarine spying on the airport's construction. Labrador Morning's Bryon Hamel reads an excerpt.
