Remembering Stompin’ Tom 1936 – 2013
Canadian music legend Stompin' Tom died at the age of 77 of natural causes. The legendary performer spent many formative years on PEI and his songs revealed a man who cared deeply about this country and its people. Billy MacInnis had the opportunity to know Stompin' Tom more than most. They shared the stage together for many years and toured the country. Back in 1973, during PEI's Centennial year celebrations, Jack MacAndrew produced a concert in Victoria Park. Jack MacAndrew joined Island Morning by phone.
