Heart and Stroke - Dr. Beth Abramson

The Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation has a warning for baby boomers: change the way you live or your golden years could be permanently tarnished. The 2013 report card on the Health of Canadians is entitled Reality Check. It warns the boomers that they may think they're living healthy...but in fact they're not. Eighty per cent of Canadian boomers think their doctors would rate them as healthy. But most don't eat enough fruit and vegetables, more than half are inactive, one in 10 drinks heavily and one in five smokes. Dr. Beth Abramson is a Toronto cardiologist and a spokesperson for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
