Saint John Firefighters' Pay Scale Thousands More Than Other Municipalities

A first-class firefighter in Saint John earns about $7 to $8,000 more each year than someone in the same job in Moncton and Fredericton. Last November an arbitrator awarded Saint John fire 12 per cent raise over four years. Chief Kevin Clifford responds.
