    The Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada is bringing " Ghosts of Violence " to Halifax

    Moncton's Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada is presenting its newest ballet in Halifax. " Ghosts of Violence " explores the issue of violence against women. Its been touring Canada playing to sold out houses and great reviews. Igor Dobrovolskiy is Artistic Director of the company and choreographer of the ballet. Collaborating with Canadian playwright Sharon Pollock, Dobrovolskiy produced a ballet that revolves around four couples. He says the issue of domestic homicide is multi-layered, and he wanted to reveal that in the ballet. Dobrovolskiy and Pollock created scenarios representing different ages, backgrounds and social classes. " Ghosts of Violence " will be staged at the Rebecca Cohn Auditorium on Saturday, May 5th at 7:30.
