All of these stories have an underlying human rights theme. Second chances are a part of life according to Mandela Kuet. He's a Sudanese refugee who made headlines in 2007. A judge ordered him to face deportation hearings for his criminal behavior inside an African street gang called the Mad Cowz. Mandela has spent the last three years trying to turn his life around but it's not easy to convince others to believe in him. He is a part of the Human Library, and he spoke to Larry Updike on Up to Speed.
