HUman Library Project - Homelessness
CBC Manitoba is very pleased to be part of the "human library" project. January 24 to 26, you'll be able to go to the Millenium Library and sign up to speak, one on one, with people from our community and hear their stories. All of these stories have an underlying human rights theme. Eric Shweig (SHH'-wig) is one of these "human books". He understands all too well the story of discrimination against people who are homeless. He himself has lived on the street but for the past six years he has been working as an Outreach coordinator for Resource Assistance for Youth or RAY. That means Eric is out most nights helping Winnipeg's street affected population. He talked to Marcy Markusa about it on Information Radio.
