Does Red or Blue in the U-S Matter in Canada?

When Americans gave Barack Obama the green light to spend another term in office, Canadians followed those results....and for the most part, cheered them on. It's part of a common impression that whoever's in the Oval office there....impacts our lives here. And with good reason....we're their closest neighbours and longtime trading partners. But does it really make a difference whether it's a Republican or Democrat we're dealing with? James Fergusson is a professor with the Centre for Defence and Security Studies at the University of Manitoba. Here now is what he said about the presidential impact on Canadians:
