St. John's Historical Detective

Genealogy is a fast-growing hobby for many people in this province. With the internet offering ever-better access to historical records, the temptation to dig into the roots of the family tree is strong. Robert Royle does more than that, though. He's become something of an historical detective, helping solve the mysteries buried in other people's families. Recently, a ten-year effort to find the family of a long-gone Newfoundland Regiment soldier helped return a lost bracelet to the man's daughter. Host Leigh Anne Power called Robert Royle in St. John's to find out why he does what he does.
