Program helps Kamloops people get "On Track"
Gyms can be intimidating places at first: lots of muscular people lifting big weights and plenty of folks running fast laps Just ask Carolyn McDonald. She struggles with depression and bipolar disorder, so it seemed a little overwhelming when her doctor told her to go to the gym for exercise therapy. But that's where she met Lori Kitamura and Cathryn Brisco. They help run a program called "On Track." It offers supervised exercise, mostly walking, for people at risk of heart disease, and just recently added mental health help as well. Josh Pagé has Carolyn's story from the Tournament Capital Centre.
