James Moore on changes to rules for mentally ill offenders
The federal government has announced changes to the way the justice system deals with violent offenders who are found not criminally responsible due to mental disorder. The changes will create a new designation for those types of offenders. The government also wants to extend the time between review board hearings. Currently, they can be held every year.
