Logging concerns raised in Bralorne
Logging plans in Bralorne have stirred a controversy. Bralorne is a town of less than 50 people, about 100 kilometers west of Lillooet. There are many limbs to this story, including some people frustrated that snowmobile trails could be lost, and a company, Interwest Timber in Lillooet, that says it needs to log the area for a local mill to survive. Bruce Simon's front window looks over the area being logged. He shares his concerns, and then Daybreak host Shelley Joyce speaks with Debbie Demare. She is the regional director for the Bridge River Valley, where Bralorne is located.
