Kamloops RCMP aim to reduce domestic violence
It has been nearly a year since the Kamloops RCMP identified domestic violence as a top priority. In general, the crime rate in Kamloops is falling, but domestic violence continues to rise. The holiday season is typically the worst time of year for this often unseen crime. Cst. Laurie Hewitt is the violence in relationships coordinator for the Kamloops RCMP. She joins Daybreak host Shelley Joyce in studio.
