Buzz Bissinger on Oscar Pistorius and the myth of role models

South African Olympic track star Oscar Pistorius was granted bail Friday in the sum of one million rand, or about $115,000 Canadian. He was arrested for the shooting murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steencamp, on Valentine's Day. Pistorius shot to global superstardom as the first double-amputee to compete in the Olympic games and was hailed as a hero and role model. But Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author Buzz Bissinger says we should stop putting athletes on a pedestals.
