Scrabble Scores Debate
English is a constantly evolving language, and Joshua Lewis wondered if Scrabble's scoring system was keeping up. He created software that analyzed the frequency of words and letters in the game, and then re-assigned the tile values of a number of them. That sent Scrabble purists into a tizzy. North America Scrabble Players Association John Chew called it a "catastrophic outrage". So we invited them both to settle the score.
