Quebec Language Cop Quits
Louise Marchand , the woman at the center of Quebec's "Pastagate", stepped down Friday from her post at the Office Québecois de la Langue Francaise. Language Minister Diane De Courcy explained it was time for a change in the culture of Quebec's language police. "Pastagate" began when language inspectors busted an Italian restaurant, Buonanotte, in Montreal for using the word..."pasta". Massimo Lecas is the owner of Buonanotte.
