The Original Birther Scandal
Barack Obama's re-election is a defeat for Birthers who refuse to believe his Hawaii birth certificate, preferring to believe an edited recording of a telephone conversation with the wife of the father of the estranged father of the President. It has Obama born in Kenya -- and the birthers say that disqualifies him from the Presidency. This isn't the first time a commander-in-chief to has been accused of coming from away. In 1881, Republican President Chester Alan Arthur arrived at the White House amidst a storm of Democratic outrage. They accused Mr. Arthur of covering up a dark secret. He was a...[GASP]...Canadian.
