Norman Wells liquor sales

Sahtu First Nation communities around Norman Wells are hope to restore the restrictions. For forty years, restrictions at the one liquor store in the town of Norman Wells, NWT, meant consumers could only buy one case of beer, and either wine or a forty-ouncer on any one day. Almost one year ago, the people of Norman Wells, NWT, voted to end those restrictions. Since those restrictions were lifted, liquor sales have gone by up by nearly 50%. And that's raising concerns for the Sahtu community. Norman Yakeleya is the Sahtu MLA for the Northwest Territories. We reached him in Norman Wells.
