Sid Waddell

For over three decades, Sid Waddell commentated on professional darts games in the UK, with a language and style all of his own. Famous quotes such as "That's the greatest comeback since Lazarus"; "He looks about as happy as a penguin in a microwave"; and "there's only one word for that: magic darts" won the hearts of the British public. Darts players across the UK will surely be sending off a flight in memory of a man who hit bullseye after bullseye. So in tribute to the "Voice of Darts", here are some excerpts of Sid Waddell's unique commentary style, our sound of the day.
