    Iqaluit's Undertaker

    For 20 years, Bryan Pearson has been Iqaluit's only undertaker. And it's still only a part-time job. Even so, undertaking on Baffin Island is demanding -- there's constant worry about where to store bodies, about coffins to be flown up from the south, and about graves to dig in Iqaluit's sometimes-frozen cemetery. Now, Mr. Pearson is threatening to quit, saying the city is making moving and burying bodies even harder.
