It was part of the "Arrivals" series that told stories about the people waiting at the Trudeau Airport in Montreal. Malcolm was born in Haiti and he arrived in Montreal in November of 2009. His adoptive parents Sonya and Sacha had to wait three and a half years before they could bring him home. It was an extremely difficult wait. But, as it turns out, they were fortunate. They were able to get their boy out just before the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

Each episode looks at different ways electricity has changed the way we hear and make music. So far, we've heard about the impact of the microphone, multi-tracking, the electric guitar, synthesizers and background music. This week, in Episode Six, we have a look at remixing, sequencing and the drum machine.

It's won a Peabody, a Prix Italia and the Director's Choice Award from the Third Coast International Audio Festival. And this summer, we're going to play the entire series. It's an audio experience like no other. And trust me, you'll never listen to music the same way again. The Wire explores the impact of electricity on music. Now, obviously, most of us take electricity for granted. But the power of the electrical current didn't just change the way we listen to music -- it changed the way we make it.
