Carbon pricing debate heats up

Does the NDP want to impose a carbon tax? Listening to Conservatives this week, you certainly would think so. All week, the Conservatives used the expression "carbon tax" to describe the NDP's plan. the NDP leader Tom Mulcair claims it is lie, he says the NDP supports a cap-and-trade system. This has been such a furious discussion in the House of Commons all week that we've decided to convene our own special House debate on it... Michelle Rempel is the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of the Environment, Megan Leslie is the NDP deputy leader and environment critic, and Elizabeth May, the leader of the Green Party.
