Tackling Nursing Home Violence
The recent death of Frank Alexander has raised concerns about what can be done to protect seniors in long term care facilities from violence. Alexander, a man with Alzheimer's, was allegedly attacked by another resident with Alzheimer's in a Winnipeg nursing home. Dr. Brian Goldman speaks with Real Cloutier, chief operating officer for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, to find out what's being done to prevent tragedies like this from happening again.
