Lands Protection Act - Horace Carver

You could call it deja vu for Horace Carver. In the early 1980s, he helped to draft the Lands Protection Act. It set out strict restrictions for land ownership on Prince Edward Island. Thirty years later, Horace Carver has been asked to review the Lands Protection Act and to ask Islanders what they might like to see changed in the legislation. The Commissioner will host a series of public meetings across the province. Horace Carver shares with us the history behind the Act and the time when he went toe to toe with Pierre Trudeau over the issue of land ownership.
