Mayors Panel Sep 27, 2012 | 22:00From the perspective of many people in Alberta and Ottawa, the Northern Gateway project is not especially controversial; a gigantic pipeline to take the product of the oil sands across British Columbia and then to the tankers that would distribute it to the world. Practically all B.C. would have to do is provide the geography and it's got plenty of that. But there are obstacles -- humpback whales, sturgeon and B.C. mayors to name a few.
