WAM Nov 1-11 Michael Fantuz
Tide and wind and crag, Seaweed and seashell And broken rudder And the story is told Of dreams that survive the night. Of doors held ajar in storms. Those words by EJ Pratt are interpreted and brought to life in "Between Tides", the title of a new exhibition of work by Gander artist Michael Fantuz. It is a collection of mono- and poly-chromatic oil paintings, acrylics and photographs. And it comes after a trip with his wife and daughter to the South Coast of Newfoundland. Fantuz opened his exhibition last night at the Christina Parker Gallery in St. John's.
