WAM WAM Oct 13-14 Ben Cox Oct 17, 2012 | 9:04Benjamin Cox has lived through a lot of turmoil in his life... Much of it caused by his own behavior. From a promising career as an ER nurse, Cox turned to drugs. Even using his position to steal narcotics to keep his habit going. But Cox wasn't finished falling yet. He got caught. Benjamin Cox tells his story in a self-published book called "My Name is Ben and I'm and Addict". His book has sold out and now he's attracted a publisher. Cox stopped by our studio to tell me about his descent to the depths of drug addition... And the rude awakening that put him on the road to recovery.

WAM WAM Liner Notes Margo St. John Sep 7, 2012 | 12:41Author Cassie Brown's novel," Death On The Ice" is considered a classic by anybodys standards. First published in 1972, the book has gone on to be a best seller many times over and even today it is still snatched from book store shelves. Cassie also turned her writing talents to penning a song of the same name. Her daughter Christine Brown wrote the music for the track. In 1982 Margo St. John released the song," Death On The Ice" on a 45 rpm record. Margo has now added nine more cuts to that early 7 inch vinyl and released the CD,"Death On The Ice". A number of those cuts were written by Christine Brown, like this one, "Out Of Touch"
