Repair or replace
When an appliance breaks down, sometimes it's hard to know whether to get it repaired or cut your losses and buy a new one. Consumer Reports asked 27,000 subscribers to share their experiences with more than 50,000 broken appliances, the findings are laid out in a report called "Repair or Replace." Celia Kupersmizd Lehrman is the Deputy Home Editor in charge of the study.
