Washington has given approval to the State of Michigan to go ahead with a new bridge crossing Windsor and Detroit.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder made the announcement earlier this afternoon. He said Michigan received the presidential permit it required to go ahead with the project. For more on what happens now, we've reached Essex MP Jeff Watson.
