Historic Home of Carter Family Burns
Fire has claimed one of the province's oldest homes. The home at Carters Point on the Kingston Peninsula dated back to the 1770s. It contained the antiques, records and family memorabilia of the Carter family who bought the house in 1854. We hear from Stan Whelpley, who owned the home, and then Judith Baxter, who wrote a book about Eliza Cox Carter.
